Interlaced
Interlaced is a collaborative practice-based research project, between Valdene Diprose and I. There are five grow cycles that are occuring over nine months: the first happened in November - December 2024 and the final will take place in June - July 2025. Each cycle yields a distinct body of work. To begin each grow cycle, Valdene and I each create four small artworks that typify our practices. Once the artworks are made, we invite fungi to collaborate to complete the works. The artwork is immersed in a growing media impregnated with fungal spawn.
